Surfrider Foundation  (Washington Chapters)

The world's ocean covers approximately 70% of the Earth.  They produce 50% of
Earth's oxygen.  They are home to 80% of Earth's creatures and there are
countless creatures still to be discovered.  Isn't this reason enough to
protect our oceans?  The Surfrider Foundation works to do just that.
Founded in 1984 with the mission to protect and preserve the world's oceans,
waves, and beaches for all beach users through Conservation, Activism,
Research, and Education (C.A.R.E.).  We are a worldwide organization with
over 69 chapters and 80,000 members.  In Washington we have 5 chapters with
over 1000 members working to protect and preserve the amazing coastline in
the state we are all so proud to call home.  To find out more about
